Pamela Forrest was born in Crawfordsville, IN, the youngest of 6 children. Her mother was a Polish immigrant who survived the Holocaust, and her father was American. She grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, where she began her 20+ year career in the beauty business as a professional model. While living in Louisiana in 1983, Pam won the title of Miss Louisiana USA and was third runner up in the Miss USA pageant. Later she opened her own modeling school, continued to model and began her acting career. She is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).
In 1985 Pamela met J. Steve Nail on the beach in Destin, FL and they married 6 months later. After moving to Mississippi with her new husband she entered the Mrs. Mississippi Pageant in Jackson and was very pleased to win the crown. That title took her to the 1987 Mrs. America Pageant in Las Vegas, NV where she won both the swim suit competition and the pageant. Next she participated in what she calls one of the most wonderful experiences of her life, the Mrs. World Pageant in Brisbane, Australia, where she became the first American to win the Mrs World crown. Today, Steve and Pam Nail are the proud parents of 4 beautiful children, David, Mary Alex, Jack and Nick.
Pamela stays busy speaking to groups of teens and/or women, counseling and teaching classes for those who want to improve their appearance, poise and confidence, and working as a Personal Trainer in the Jackson, MS area. She judges pageants on the local and international level. She continues to do some modeling, print and voice over work as well, and enjoys traveling the world.
